ATHLETICS

STUDENT ATHLETES

We are the official school for student athletes! Being a student athlete means you are among some of the most athletic peers in your age bracket that are experiencing the same journey as you. You get to meet other athletes that are gifted, driven, dedicated, and so much more. At TPA, you get to create bonds and friendships with people that you share a passion for the same thing! Being an athlete means that when you graduate you walk across that stage knowing you gave all you could in the classroom and you represented TPA playing your sport, and that is a dedication only some will come to know.

FOOTBALL PROGRAM STRUCTURE

TPA Football is structured like a collegiate program so that student-athletes understand the requirements both on and off the field and are prepared for the schedule at the next level. TPA football student-athletes  train within a schedule that mirrors that of a college program and student athletes are expected to maintain similar expectations, such as truth, respect, unity, academic success, responsibility and ownership, mental and physical toughness, and complete personal and athletic development. With three teams competing across various levels, TPA  football will identify which program is the best fit for prospective student-athletes in grades 6th-8th middle school and 8th-12th, based on their age, skill level, position, and overall goals.

High School Football

Varsity Football for TPA will consist of student athletes in grades 8-12. Student athletes will be expected to meet the standards of the program, and all classes are centered around the NCAA 16 Core core requirements for student athletes. Along with the core courses, student athletes must select a career path within sports and explore what their careers may look like in the life after sports.

Middle School Football

Student athletes in grades 6th - 8th will participate on our middle school football program, which is considered our junior varsity developmental program. Our middle school students will now be able to compete for a State Championship in the Sunshine State Independent Association.

CAREER CHOICES IN SPORTS

Our educational strategy provides career path learning, which allows students to engage in work experiences in the field of the students choice. During this time students have a chance to apply the knowledge and skill they have acquired into real-time situations. At TRU Prep Academy we believe in the old adage "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it". We utilize our career base academies to give our students an edge, by gaining experience in these areas of interest.
